Since 2002, the currency of the Netherlands has been the euro. The Netherlands are one of the 27 member states of the European Union. 17 of the states, including the Netherlands, utilize the same currency. The advantage of this shared currency is that it makes traveling throughout Europe much easier for both locals and tourists.

Holland is an area in Europe that makes up the Netherlands. Holland is split up into two areas: North Holland and South Holland.
